Dr. Gina's Approach
"We can't control what happens to us in life, but we can control how we respond." Taking that first step to take control back after control has been taken away from you is a tough one. I want to walk along side you and help in that journey. I am passionate about helping children, adolescents and adults overcome adversity while creating a safe environment to focus on an individual's strengths in overcoming events that we don't plan for life to throw at us.
I have dedicated my career to learning about how experiencing traumatic events can impact day to day life. This could look like: depression, anxiety, grief, changes in behavior, shame, low self-esteem...the list goes on. My educational background has always centered around learning how to provide support to those individuals who are healing from trauma.
I know that it is not my place tell you what healing looks like for you-as it looks different for everyone. I am here to be a part of your team, gain understanding for what is important to you, support you, and work together to help you gain control back over your life. I look forward to being a part of your team!

What should I expect from therapy?

Therapy looks different for every single person...so that's a tough one to answer. Sessions with Dr. Gina are usually about 40-50 minutes and in our first session we will talk more about what therapy will look like for you moving forward.
